So who am I and why should you care?
Well honestly I’m not to sure, that’s something you’ll have to workout for yourself I guess. Though I will tell you a bit about me.
My name is Ebony, I’m a health and happiness blogger (with plans to branch out) who is a self proclaimed personal development junkie, avid planner and organiser and chronic over thinker.
I am studying my Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. I’m in my final year! Whoop! Whoop!
I currently work in the early childhood learning industry, which I have done for the past (almost) ten years. I love kiddies! Born to be a mum.
In my spare time I can be found reading (okay a lot of the time I can be found reading), planning the room I’m too poor to create, travelling to new places and treating my life like an experiment by continuously setting myself little challenges, just because.
I have the most supportive boyfriend Sam, and the most adorable Princess puppy, Phoebe, who make my life that much better.
So now on how ‘The iViRi Life’ came to be, because there’s got to be a story.
So a few years back I went through a really bad stage and the effects lasted for years after, I worked in a toxic work environment where a lot of bullying happened, mainly from my manager. I had just recently turned 18 before all of this began, so you could say I was at a vulnerable and impressionable age.
It was through this experience and my journey to recovering from depression that I really learnt the value of health and happiness. I threw myself into researching the effects health has on happiness, and discovered the truth for myself through experimenting and challenging myself to try out different things.
I want to share all that I have learnt throughout this journey with as many people as I can, because not enough people know just how much their health influences the rest of their lives. I want to empower and support people to create the healthiest, happiest lives possible.
